Well done.

After reading Paul Ham's book on Vietnam, I rang Simon Townsend, you know, the conscientious objector who had a TV show called Simon's World.

He was a little hard to understand as he had had a couple of strokes. I asked if we could meet for coffee. I told him I didn't know why I felt compelled to talk to him, but I wanted to let him know that I respected him.

We never did meet up, but I hope I gave him the respect that he deserves.

I didn't say the word 'Vietnam' for at least 10 years.

Like you I was in Education, but in Finance and Admin. When an intelligent woman found out one day that I was a veteran, she asked" Did you shoot anyone?"

Can you leave your contact details on my blog as a comment? They won't be published.
