Peace Trumps Hate

This story is powerful.

It describes how peace has overcome hate, and reconciliation is possible despite heinous evil.

It is also a dignified and respectful celebration of the ideals that Breivik hated.

On Anzac Day I watched a young woman wearing a hijab marching with the girls' brigade contigent. This was another powerful image reinforcing the reality that all faiths and ethnicities can live in harmony.

Breivik's actions provide a glimpse of the alternative.
